Finally!

Filed under: General — Mulyadi @ 11:46 pm

Finally got some news back from my company bout my reimbursement for the operation I went for 2 months ago. AIA will be paying me in full for the operation. That’s really gd news :) Will get the money for the first op on 9th May. The 2nd op is yet to be processed but at least I know that I will eventually get the money so its ok :)

Weekend has been fun. Managed to meet up with my group on Sat. Best of all was everybody made it. Nobody was missing. Its been such a long time we managed to get everyone together and I really enjoyed myself. A simple dinner outing at Swensons, followed by some counterstrike gaming. It sure was fun :) Coincidently, the following day is Om’s birthday too :D

Here’s to more weekends like this. To great friends.. Cheers! :)

Cash Awards :)

Filed under: General — Mulyadi @ 6:02 pm

I got a letter from GMP a few days ago. Turns out to be a letter to inform me that I will get a small award of $75 for my contribution , as recomended by HP. Hehehhh its not a big sum but any extra money is of course welcomed :)

I called GMP to ask who it was who recomended me for the award and what it was far. Found out that its Christian who recomended me. He’s actually my manager’s manager’s manager.. Phew… So high up.. lol. This small award was for my contribution to the WEP project performance testing. At least I got recognised for my effort :)

Car.. Car.. car…

Filed under: General — Mulyadi @ 8:48 pm

I can’t wait to eventually get my driving license. I already know which car I wanna buy. Hehh.. Been surfing alot during work and I’ve got a list of the few cars I’m considering of buying :) Top of the list would be,

1) Mazda MX5 Roadster

MX5 Roadster

2) Toyota MR-S

MR-S

3) Peugot 206cc

Peugeot 206cc

4) Hyundai Tuscani FX

Tuscani FX

Did some calculations and it looks like I’m gonna have to fork out a lot for the monthly installments but it should be ok if I scrimp and save a bit. I would of course love to have a Ferrari or Porsche but this is what I can afford so far and I’m happy enough. I can’t wait :D

Happy Songkran :D

Filed under: General — Mulyadi @ 8:49 pm

Hehhh happy songkran?? That’s the Thai new year and I was in Koh Samui to celebrate it. It sure was lots of fun. The street celebration was very lively. Everyone was joining in the celebration, spraying others with water. Everybody was wet. Muahahha :P

Was there for the weekends and just came back a while ago :) A very gd trip I must say. Definately a gd time off from my work. Been kinda busy lately. Hehh… Flew to Samui on thurs night and took a cab from the airport to our hotel. Palm was there as soon as I got off the cab, to show me my room :) I’ve missed her so…. Its been a long time. Tong dropped by a while ago and we started chatting.

Following day, Friday the 13th, we travelled to the city. Boy was it lively. I can’t describe it enough. Almost everyone had a water gun, shooting at others. Everyone was wet. Nobody was spared :P getting wet is a gd thing if the weather was hot but unfortunately it kept raining on and off and it got pretty cold. Didn’t help that some of them had ice cold water in their gun. Brrrrr……….. Hehh… Should have seen the look on Mariz’s face :P Finally settled down at a nice restaurant for dinner after a few hrs, and by the time we got back, it was already late :)

Sat, we went island hopping. Not even sure which island we went to but it sure is a mouthful to pronouce. Went on some nature trails to see this really beautiful lake :) Than it was off to another island for more nature walks? Hehhh no thx… Palm, Tong, Jui and Peh went for it but Mariz and I, we just choose to take a nap under a nice coconut tree, just enjoying the breeze… Lovely :D Reached back at bout 6 and met up at 7 for dinner but unfortunately, the seafood restaurant we wanted to go to was full so we just ate at this other restaurant. Decent food at least :P

Sun was spent snorkling :D My 2nd time. We went to another island and it was beautiful. Snorkled for an hr before making our way to yet another island for lunch. Went for a dip at the sea after that to cool off. It was really a hot day :( Dinner that night was fantastic. It was to be Mariz and my treat to the rest of the group for being such accomodating host :P Meal was fantastic. Ordered 8 dishes including Lobster!!! and the bill came up to 3500 baht :D Kinda cheap huh. Fantastic seafood dinner for 6 at only SG$155 bucks :D Imagine my shock though to realise that the lobster was almost half the cost of the entire meal. SG$72 bucks. Zzzzz.. I never knew lobster could be that exp :( The day ended with a traditional Thai massage. Hehhh boy was it pain. Mariz sure looked like it was nothing. I was grimacing a lot. The torture… hehh… It felt gd after that though :)

Mon came and it was time to go home :( Palm and gang took a bus back ot the bus terminal for their coach back to Bangkok. Since it was still early, Mariz and I went to the beach for a walk and to find a place to sit down to drink some coconut juice :D Soon, it was time to go. Bid farewell to Samui, took a cab to the airport and much later, we’re on the plane back to Singapore :( I’m gonna miss that place. It has been a very very fun trip. Thx to Palm and Tong for planning this.. And thx to HP, without which, I would not have the means to travel. Bloody ticket to samui cost $470 return, for a 1hr 40 min flight… !#%#$%&(

Amway…. muahahahaa.. sucks

Filed under: General — Mulyadi @ 9:21 pm

I was approached by a friend who asked me if I was interested in doing business. I said why not and asked what he had in mind. He refused to tell me what it was and made an appointment to meet up in person whereby he can explain to me in details what it was all about.

Yesterday I met up with him. I got a bit more suspicious when he messaged at the last minute that he will be bringing his friend along, one who will be better able to explain to me what the business venture is. When I got there, this friend of his started chatting and eventually went on to explain to me what the business was about. Asking me what are my dreams, if I would like to work less and get paid more, if I would like to have more time to travel, to be able to have flexibility in my job etc… He went on to explain it was all possible etc…. and after an hr or so, he finally said.. “And that’s the Amway Business..”

HA!!! I knew it.. lolz.. No way am I gonna sign up for that bullshit stuff. Yes I have dreams.. and I believe that the path to my dreams will never be the Amway path. Their company reeks of scandals and negativity. Lolz… Freedom at work? HP gives me that. High pay and work less? HP gives me that too. Work smart they say… I get paid higher than any of my peers (at least 50% more) while working less, cos HP pays me to think… not to work :D More time to travel? I get that as well… There’s nothing I feel that Amway can give me at this moment.. Muahahhahaa… Amway suckers!! Get rich quick? Go dream on… Maybe someday when I’ve made a name for myself, you’d still be a slave for Amway.. Just google “Amway Horror” and read more for youselves. So much negativity bout amway…

Talking bout travel, I’d be going to Koh Samui for 4days, 4 nights soon :D Leaving this coming thursday night. Flight has been booked, and so is my hotel room. Thx to Palm and Tong :D Even the itererary has been planned. This is gonna be one kick ass holiday :D Wheeeee…..
