Hope everyone had a good new yr. 3 days of holiday is enough to make almost everyone happy I had a great time. Slightly busy though doing last minute shopping for the BBQ stuff. The crowd sure is a killer. An hour of queing before its my turn to pay, and this was on the express lane..

Friday was the day we finally had a better conformation of who’s coming for the BBQ and thats when we finally went to buy the food. Shopping with Omkar and Darwis was even worse than girls. Imagine meeting up at 7.30pm and we only got home at 12.30am. All this for just 70 bucks worth of food for the BBQ?? Darn.. thats pretty tiring. There was this kind lady we kept running into at Liberty supermarket. Telling us how to choose the honey, and then where to get a better bargain for certain items, and then once again to tell us that we can still shop at Giant since its open 24hrs that day. Wah!!! Kept running into her and everytime, she had an advice for us. Hahahahah thats how shopping with guys are. We know nuts. Lol… Anyway we decided to go back w/o buying anything, take the car out and go Giant. Only got home after midnight and yet we have not got everything.

Sat night had the reunion dinner at my grandma place. Food was great. Steamboat dinner. The 4 dogs are so huge. Manhattan and Cyprus are so handsome. Very sharp features and so playful. Both of them are Husky dogs and they howl instead of bark. Muahaha….

Today went to grandma place and got lots of hong baos. Muahahhahaa… I’m in the money…. Hehheh… Got over 100 bucks. Not too shabby Played mahjong with my aunt and I won quite a lot. Bout 15 bucks. Muahhahaaa… Not too bad for a beginner. Left in the evening and it was off to Johore for dinner. Dinner was crap. Most of what we ordered were sold out and whatever left, came in very little portion. So bloody expensive too. Went to my dad’s colleague house in Johore after that for a visit. Nice place A kampong house with a huge backyard.

Tom will be the BBQ. Lets hope all those who said they were coming would come and not back out in the last minute. Else there will be too much food again and I’ll be blamed. Like last year.

Pre Graduation Photos

Been slacking a lot recently. Really nothing much to do now at home. Started packing my room a bit and it sure looks much cleaner now. Out with the old stuff. Been playing the guitar a lot too lately. Still can’t play well though. Hahahaa..

Went to Suntec with my family on Sunday and bought a new set of cordless phone. Phillips digital cordless phones. Home phone technology sure have matured a lot. Can you imagine a home phone which uses polyphonic ring tones instead of the normal ring ring? Or how bout each handset being registered with a serial number, so that you can just call up the handset from any other handset connected to the base station and use it as a walkie talkie. Its analogous to each computer being assigned an IP address by a router and being able to communicate with each computer within the network. Its pretty cool. While talking on the phone, you can put the call on hold and ring up the handset in the room to ask parents something, and then get back to the caller on the phone.. Or you can transfer the call to any individual handset. Way cool… Currently only have 2 handset but once i get a job, plan to get another 2 so that each room will have 1. Hehhee..

I finally get a picture frame for my cert too. While collecting my graduation gown last yr, there were people selling customised frames for the cert. Did not get it thinking that I can get nicer frames outside at a much cheaper price but who would have thought that the cert has such an unusual size that I only just managed to get the frame after bout 2 mths. And even so, the frame is much biger. Not really fitting for the cert. Haiz… wasted…

Started going back to the gym and it sucks. Hahahaha same problem again. Can barely lift 30kg. 30kg used to be my warm up set and 45-50kg was my regular but now… haiz Need to put on weight also. Lost 4kg last yr during the fasting month and have yet to gain them back. Fasting and exams dun really go well together. The stress studying for my exams coupled with not being able to eat anything made me lose so much weight. Anyway, I felt really flattered last week. Hehehheee This lady stopped me and introduced herself as being from this modelling agency and asked if I wanted to model. Lol… I guess she must be stopping almost every other guy who walked by but still, pretty flattering. Hehehhh…

I lost my phone casing somewhere. Its been 3 days. Think I need to get one. THinking of getting the sillicon cover but cant seem to find it anywhere. Maybe should go down to Sim Lim to find. Anyone wanan company me??

Yes its finally up again. After 50 hrs of downtime. What a bitch Singnet is. Got a call from Nasir yesterday and seems like his internet is down too. Facing the same problem as mine. Think its time for me to switch my ISP.

Anyway, met up with An yesterday. He just got back from Glasgow, UK. He sure changed a lot. More matured now. He speaks with a slight British accent now? Different from the ah beng I always thought he was. Hahahhaa… Thats what 2.5yrs of study in UK will do to you. Went for lunch and spend time catching up. Great to know he’s doing good. Happy for him

Met up with Ricko and Vinton after that. Ricko just came to Singapore from Indonesia and he wanted to meet up and hang out. Nice guy I must say. Pretty tall guy too. He didn’t recognised me though, coe he was expecting me to be fat. Asked where he got that idea from and he told me Nelson has been telling tales bout how fat I am.. Hahhaah stupid shit.

Last few days, I was pretty busy coding. Went for my very first interview ever on Wednesday. It was nerve wrecking but having my aunt in the same interview room as me helped a tiny bit I was to prepare a small application written in PHP as assessment piece and it wasn’t really a big deal. Mr Yee, the guy testing me on my technical knowledge seems pretty impressed with my codes, saying I’m no nooobie in coding and that my codes are quite matured. Hahhaha thats what 3.5 yrs of coding with PHP does to you.. Overall, it went pretty well and I got a small tour of the company. Even got a lift back to Chua Chu Kang, by Mr Yee.

Lets hope the outcome of the interview is positive. I need to start working soon. Am lagging behind most of my peers. Welcome to the rat race. Its finally begun…

My internet has been down for more than 24hrs. Was surfing yest at bout 11.30am and at noon, it went down. Tried to reconnect and it was always the same error. Failed to establish a PPoE connection. Damn it… Tried for bout 2 hrs before I finally call the support center.

Did the usual things. Told me to check wires etc.. ( not like I don’t know. All I wanted to find out is if the server is experiencing any downtime ) He told me server is fine so I thought it might be a hardware failure. So began the changing of the internet equipment. Took out my spare wireless router and a spare ethernet modem and I plugged it in. Still can’t connect. Tried a direct connection, bypassing the network, and its still the same. Got really frustrated. 6 hrs later, I gave up and called singnet again and they made an appointment on tuesday to get their engineer to come over check it out. Arrrggghhhhh lousy shit. Now its back to my backup net connection. A 56k pacific net connection. This sux.

Woke up this morning and realised my net is still down. Got frustrated with using 56k so I did a quick scan and logged on to my neighbours network. Muhahahahah he did not enable any security at all. Even the router login name and password is the default one. Oh well… I’ll just use this in the mean time. Beats using a 56k connection.
